South Leeds High – formerly Merlyn Rees High School is based in Belle Isle, one of the areas facing the greatest challenges in Leeds, having European Union Objective 2 status. However the school has used CAPEUK and NOF investment over the past few years to develop a strong out of school learning culture, and to strengthen community links. The school offers a range of other out of school activity ranging from Rock Challenge, dance, drama and a steel band, through to caving sports and science clubs.

The London Trip was a fantastic opportunity for twenty gifted and talented students from across the Creative Arts faculty, the purpose was to broaden the students’ horizons, have fun and reward them for the hard work they had done through the Christmas term.
