“ Through working with artists it has enabled teachers to learn new technical skills and to broaden their knowledge of media.”
FILMMAKING
Our
film making projects targeted students from year s 7, 8, 9 and 10
from diverse backgrounds who needed their energies channelling in
creative ways. The video company, Rejuvenate Productions, worked with
students to create and edit digital footage in to a final presentation
film, which was then shown during assembly to the whole school. Everyone
involved in the film making projects have benefited in some way, read
the comments from students, artists and teachers to learn more.
“ Pupils have been given creative and expressive outlets where they would not have if CAPE and NOF were not involved.”
“ Pupils have responded differently to teachers while working with them on the projects. Teachers have been seen as someone to help the pupils develop their own ideas rather than someone who is instructing them.”
“I
really enjoy Cape. I cannot wait until Thursdays come. I get to
do some really interesting activities”
“I have learnt to use media equipment and the processes involved to create a film. It is something that I could have not done in school. It was great fun”
