Feedback from teachers and creative professionals illustrates how in addition to an increase in self esteem and confidence, creative activities develop young people’s skill in establishing direction and focus, setting goals and managing tasks.

“We set up a card-making workshop commissioning the local artist and business woman Sharon. Sharon showed us her own Christmas card range and explained about running a freelance card business. Sharon designed a specialist range to start with and taught us how to form production lines for creating the cards and work as part of a team. ‘GET IN THERE’ cards joined the ‘Young Business Enterprise’ a 6th form extra curricular project and set up a stall in Granary Wharf shopping centre.” – Teacher Intake High School Arts College
